Riturgia, commissioned by the Festival of Contemporary Music of Venice in 1971, was performed at Teatro La Fenice by the orchestra of the opera house itself. It was the author's first work for orchestra composed after his academic studies and was created after Segni and Ritografia, for piano. The piece reveals a subjective component that was well taken by the critics. The work was afterwards performed in other Italian cities.
