The year of composition of the first version precedes the year indicated on the printed edition, 1975. Even though the piece was performed brilliantly by the Trio di Como at Lovanio, and then in Tokyo and Kyoto, at the Festival dei Saraceni, at the Autunno Musicale di Como and in the Sala Vanni of Florence, the author was not bewitched by the numerous performances, and so decided to write a new version of the piece which was performed for the first time at the Festival di Nuova Consonanza.
In spite of the renewed metabolisation of the composition, In-Chiostro denies a ready realisation and, just like the compositional orientation that was common in those years, tends towards the negation of communication: with the result of communicating negation.
